Planting trees is an act of fundamental importance to the environment whilst enriching the lives of our employees and local community. DEL has embarked on a program of planting huge, seasonal flower trees surrounding the plant.

Denim Expert Taking Bangladesh’s denim industry to the next level with
a Development Partnership with the Private Sector as part of the develoPPP.de Programme by the
German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)
Together with a committed group of experts and industry partners Denim Expert Ltd. is embarking on a development partnership with the private sector, supported and co-funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under its develoPPP.de programme.
The develoPPP.de programme was set up by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to foster the involvement of the private sector at the point where business opportunities and development policy initiatives intersect. For the past 15 years BMZ through the develoPPP.de programme has provided companies investing in developing and emerging countries with financial and, if required, also professional support.
In the context of the develoPPP.de partnership, DEL cooperates with the DEG – Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH who co-finances the programme on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
- Increase DEL’s sustainability performance, with a focus on environmental protection. Saving techniques for energy, water and chemical usage, and measures to reduce solid waste will be developed and implemented.
- Facilitate Bangladesh’s denim industry through establishing the country’s first denim training centre. Connecting the theoretical academic world with the practical denim manufacturing world which creates the foundation for a dual education system which is famous for Germany.
- Dissemination of knowledge via cooperation with education and industry partners. Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers Association (BGMEA), Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) and Bangladesh Denim Expo (BDE) will help to disseminate knowledge to other factory owners and the overall Bangladeshi denim industry.
